Kevra

Your library, region by region

Last updated: 05/10/2026

What Kevra will tell you when you look up a book, depending on where you live

When you open a book's page, Kevra checks whether you can get it without buying it: whether it is in the public domain, whether there is digital lending and whether your public library has it. That last part depends on your Spanish region (comunidad autónoma), because each one has its own network and its own catalogue.

To see it, choose your region in Settings → Edit profile. If you also type your town, you will see only your library instead of a list of towns. We never use GPS: you type the town yourself.

Why aren't they all here?

Every one has been tested, one by one. The missing ones are not missing because their catalogue does not work: their robots.txt file explicitly asks not to be queried automatically, and we do not ignore that. We want to ask each of them for permission; as soon as one says yes, it shows up here.

Meanwhile, on the book's page you will always have a link to look it up in your network's catalogue and in bookshops.
