EPUB reader · phone and ereader · free
Kevra reads your books, remembers where you are on every device, tells you who's who without spoiling a thing and shows you where to get the next one. No endless feed, no noise.

Why Kevra
Your EPUBs stay on your device. What you read is private by default. And everything you might enjoy about reading with others is optional: you decide what's shown.
Import your EPUBs, PDFs, FB2s and comics. Start on your phone, continue on your ereader on the same page. Offline too.
Tap a name and you'll know who they are, up to where you've read. Not a line more. It also catches you up if you left the book for weeks.
Where to get every book: your public library (and whether the copy is on the shelf), bookshops, or free if it's in the public domain.
How it reads
A reader cared for down to what you don't see: your position is saved by character, not by page, so neither changing the font nor changing device loses it.
There were three things all wise men feared about Kvothe. That he was a self-made man, and that said a great deal. That he had talked to gods, loved women and written songs that made the minstrels weep. That he had stolen princesses back from sleeping barrow kings. And the third, though most people only whispered it, was that…
Spoiler-free reading companion
Long-press a name and their card appears with only what you've already read: who they are, who they're connected to, since which chapter you've known them. It's filtered by your exact position, and in series, by the books you've finished.
Quiz
Ten questions, thirty seconds each, drawn from the book itself. Halfway through a novel it only asks about what you've read so far. Once you've finished, challenge a friend with the same questions or share a link so anyone can play without installing anything.
Your library
Add a book and Kevra gives it a cover, author, synopsis and series. It stays on your device: only the data needed to identify it goes to the server.
Ereaders
On a Boox, PocketBook or similar, Kevra switches to e-ink mode on its own: pure black and white, no animations, larger and bolder text, dense views like the device's own, and physical buttons to turn pages.
Where to get it
On any book's page, under the synopsis: digital, print and libraries. With the truth of what we know: the real price, free if it's in the public domain, and at your public library whether the copy is on the shelf today, on loan until which date, or not held at all.
Discover
Rows to browse at leisure: new releases in your language and country, what's being read most, the New York Times bestsellers, the next one in your series, more from authors you've finished, and what's on the lists of people you follow.
Read aloud
With your device's voices, offlinePlus, or with a high-quality neural voice from our serversPro. Controls on the lock screen and in the car; the volume buttons go back to being volume buttons.
Your reading year
Set yourself a goal of books per year (it travels with your account). And with Plus, real statistics: hours read, streaks, genres, authors, your pace per bookPlus.
Plans
Reading, the companion, the social side, libraries and discover are free for everyone. Plans unlock voice, cloud and conveniences. No commitment, through the App Store or Google Play.

Questions
You add them from your device, or download them from the free public-domain catalogue. Kevra does not sell or distribute books.
Not yet: digital loans (eBiblio and the like) carry DRM and are read in their own app. What we do is tell you whether the library has it, whether it's available, and let you know when it's back.
Not by default. Each reading is public, friends only or private, and you decide. Your web profile turns off with a switch.
No. They stay on your device; only the data needed to identify the work goes to the server. The reading companion keeps cards, not the text. Uploading them to the cloud is your choice (your own cloud or Kevra Cloud).
On any with Android and access to apps (Onyx Boox, PocketBook, Meebook…). It switches to e-ink mode by itself and uses the physical buttons. On Kindle and Kobo, no.
Yes: when you open a MOBI or AZW3, Kevra offers to convert it to EPUB in a moment. The original is left untouched. CBRs are converted to CBZ.
